Canvas Painting Competition - Season 2: Rules and Regulations

1. Eligibility:

   • The competition is open to all students currently enrolled in secondary-level educational institutions (Grades 9 to 12) and to Bachelor and Master Level Students. 
   • Participants must provide valid student identification during registration.

2. Theme: "Reflections":

   • Artwork must align with the theme "Reflections," exploring introspection and personal experiences.

3. Medium:

   • Participants are free to choose any painting medium such as acrylics, oils, watercolors, pastels, or mixed media.

4. Canvas Size and Type:

   • The canvas size should be within the range of 12 x 16.
     .
   • Participants are required to use the canvas board provided on the spot. 

5. Original Work:

   • Artwork submitted must be original, created solely by the participant, and not copied from any published work or source.

6. Ownership and Copyright:

   • By entering the competition, participants grant SPA Theatre and Arts Club the right to display, reproduce, and distribute images of the submitted artwork for promotional purposes.

7. Decisions of the Judges:

   • Artworks will be judged based on creativity, interpretation of the theme, technique, and overall visual impact.
   • The decisions of the judging panel are final and binding.

8. Code of Conduct:

   • Participants are expected to adhere to ethical standards and respect the diversity of perspectives in their artwork.
   • Any artwork deemed offensive, inappropriate, or violating the rules will be disqualified.

9. Prizes:

   • Prizes will be awarded to the top entries, including certificates and attractive art-related rewards.

10. Announcement of Winners:

    • Winners will be announced on the event date itself and would be also published via the SPA  College's official social media platforms and website.

11. Exhibition:

    • Selected artworks may be displayed in an exhibition organized by SPA Theatre and Arts Club.

12. Registration:

    • Participants must complete the online registration form by Bhadra 15, 2080.

13. Participation Fee:

    • A nominal participation fee of Rs. 200/- is required to cover administrative expenses.

Canvas Painting Competition - On-Spot Rules

1. Check-In and Setup:

   • Participants should arrive at the designated competition area at least 30 minutes before the start time for registration and setup.
   • Each participant will be assigned a designated workspace with an easel, canvas, and basic painting supplies.

2. Time Limit:

   • The competition will have a designated time limit of 3 hours.
   • Participants must start and finish their artwork within this time frame.

3. Art Supplies:

   • Participants are allowed to use the provided basic art supplies, which may include paints, brushes, and palettes.
   • Participants may also bring their own additional art materials if desired.

4. Reference Material:

   • Participants are not allowed to use any reference materials during the competition, including photographs, sketches, or other visual aids.

5. Interaction with Judges:

   • While painting, participants should not engage in conversations with the judges to maintain fairness in the judging process.

6. Theme Adherence:

   • Artwork must adhere to the theme "Reflections" as specified for the competition.

7. Disturbance-Free Environment:

   • Participants should maintain a respectful and focused environment throughout the competition.
   • Cell phones should be set to silent mode to minimize distractions.

8. Artwork Completion:

   • Participants must complete their artwork within the designated time limit.
   • Artwork must be submitted for judging by the announced completion time.

9. Identification:

   • Participants should attach a provided identification label to their artwork with their name and registration details.

10. Cleanup:

    • Participants are responsible for cleaning their workspace after completing their artwork.

11. Interaction with Audience:

    • Limited interaction with the audience is allowed during the competition, but participants should remain focused on their work.

12. Photography and Documentation:

    • SPA Theatre and Arts Club may photograph or document participants and their artwork during the competition for promotional purposes.

13. Judging Process:

    • Artworks will be judged based on creativity, interpretation of the theme, technique, and overall visual impact.
    • The decision of the judging panel is final and binding.

14. Announcement of Winners:

    • Winners will be announced at 3:00 PM on the event day.

15. Prize Distribution:

    • Prize distribution will take place at 3:00 PM on the event day.
