Students of Sudur Paschimanchal Campus presented and discussed international research on Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based supply chain management during an educational discussion program organized at the college.

The students studied and gave a detailed presentation on the findings, industrial impact, and policy significance of the research titled “Artificial Intelligence and Supply Chain Resilience: Implications for Organizational Performance,” which was recently published in the Journal of Advanced Research in Quality Control and Management.

Led by Dr. Anjay Kumar Mishra (Dean, Madhesh University), the multi-national research was co-authored by M. Vasuki, A. Dinesh Kumar, and Mbonigaba Celestin from the USA. Based on data and industry testing from 2020 to 2025, the study concludes that the use of AI makes the supply chain more resilient, efficient, and organized.

Key Metrics & Findings Presented by Students:

• Predictive Analytics: Forecasting accuracy improved from 61% to 89% when using AI-based predictive analytics.
• Disruption Detection: The capability to detect disruptions improved from 48% to 86%.
• Intelligent Logistics Automation: After implementing smart routing, the adoption rate surged from 32% to 82%, while delivery accuracy increased from 61% to 91%.
• Operational Progress: Significant advancements were noted in inventory management, warehouse automation, and logistics services, alongside a notable reduction in transportation costs.

The students discussed the practical applications of the research, highlighting that the integration of AI in manufacturing, retail, e-commerce, logistics, and the financial sector plays a crucial role in boosting productivity, controlling costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction.

Participants at the event emphasized the need to incorporate subjects like AI-based supply chain management, digital infrastructure, data analytics, and industrial innovation into university and higher education curricula.
